Where did the
dinosaurs go? What is symmetry? How do we go
about resolving
conflicts? What new adventures have June B Jones
and Arthur the friendly
Aardvark been getting into lately? These
are a few of the exciting
questions we are discovering the answers
to in our classroom.
In language arts we
have been developing our skills in reading,
written expression, oral expression,
study skills, word study and
spelling. We are developing our literacy with
the use of a variety
of literature.
Our 1st and 2nd grade
students use the Saxon Math Program. The
goal is for all of our students
to develop skills in mathematics through reasoning, discussing and validating
their thinking in both oral and
written form.
It's an exciting and
fun time as we learn and grow with one another and from each other.
