Traffic is usually light on Sunday mornings,
year round.
During the winter, add ten to fifteen minutes
when traveling through Myrtle Beach on Highway 17 between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
During the summer, when driving on Hwy 17 between noon and 8:00 pm, add five to
ten minutes travel time through North Myrtle Beach; and add ten to twenty
minutes travel time through Myrtle Beach.
During the summer, avoid traveling on US 501
between Myrtle Beach and Conway, especially after noon and on weekends. Use the Highway 22
bypass to Highway 501 instead.
