Lamp Ministry - Fueling the Mission
Lamp's - Fueling the
Mission is a program in which God works through children to help
children-and others-in villages located in the remote areas of Canada.
Children discover how they can be involved in missions as they:
- learn about the people and culture of
the remote village of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug, Ontario;
- collect dollars per mile/kilometer to
help fund the ministry of Lamp;
- pray for the ministry of Lamp, and pray
that the needs of those living in the remote communities of the far north will
be me.
Lutheran Heritage
Foundation
"If you give a Bible to a new Christian, it can be
overwhelming. There's so much to absorb and understand," says missionary
Rev. NaThalang.
Most Christian children in South Asia have never seen a
bible. Until they are old enough to reach the Bible themselves, their
parents must simply tell them the stories they know, many times over.
The Lutheran Heritage Foundation (LHF) is helping
children to receive a copy of the Bible in their own language.

Phil's
Friends
Phil's Friends Mission:
Give a moment and you'll change a life
Our goal is simple. We strive to provide support and comfort to those
who are fighting cancer. One of the main ways we're able to bring this
sense of ease into one's life is by delivering God's Word. There is much
to be found when searching for ourselves through God.
Lutheran
Heritage Foundation
Since the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudan (ELCS) begain over 10 years
ago, more than
12,000 people have been baptized into the faith. Under the direction of
Rev. Andrew Elisa,
Bishop of the ELCS, the church has established a Lutheran school system.
Three Lutheran
schools teach reading, writing, and arithmetic - and Luther's Small Catechism
(which the children
share with their parents at home.) Students in schools now number more
than 1,000 children.
